This weekend, I got to photograph the birth of little baby Everly at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a birth photographer, being able to be a part of new life is absolutely magical. Seeing this little baby girl come to live was one of the greatest moments I ever gotten to witness.

I was on call all night, waiting for her to make her entrance. When Kala was dilated enough, she sent me a text and i raced to the hospital. The little girl however, was in no hurry and so I got to get to know her sweet family and the amazing nurses and midwife that helped bring her into this world. There was such an aura of excitement in the air. They decided to not find out the gender until the birth, so we were all speculating if it was going to be a baby girl or boy.

Kala made birth seem oh so smooth. She was a real trooper and after a couple of pushes, little Everly was here. She even gave me a thumbs up during delivery! Her big sister was super curious and held her hand while the nurse was taking care of her, daddy and grandma were super proud as well and Kala was just overjoyed when she got to hold her little wonder.

Thank you for letting me be a part of this!

Are you pregnant and would like me to photograph your birth? Send me a message!
